Wednesday, June 22nd, The AA Medical team gathered for the Zac Plantz Foundation's second annual Don't Run Alone 5K. The foundation is built upon Zac's legacy to create a better tomorrow, and this event serves as a reminder that we are all stronger together.
Last year, our team pulled together to raise a total of $50,000. This year our goal was to raise $70,000 (and we raised $78,420!!)
This foundation was established in honor of Zachary Plantz, who tragically passed in 2020 at the age of 27. Zac was a champion of the people and a true leader. His passion and commitment to improving the lives of others helped him raise over $145,000 for the Movember Foundation, an organization dedicated to men's physical and mental health.
It was incredible to see the swarm of AA Medical employees at the 5K starting line. Just as Zac was a shepherd for the odd-man-out, no one from the AA team ran alone.
Supporters of this great cause lined every sidewalk. Volunteers cheering, handing out water, and embodying Zac’s spirit helped propel each runner through the finish line. It truly was a “Don’t Run Alone” race.
As each runner crossed the finish line, they were welcomed with open arms and applauded for their efforts. Pizza, beverages, and music were available to all participants and supporters who celebrated the Don’t Run Alone 5K.
With a mission to shepherd those who seek a better tomorrow, the Zac Plantz Foundation champions education, leadership, and wellness to continue the chapters Zac left unwritten. The non-profit organization provides young people with opportunities to grow academically, socially, and spiritually as they set out to establish inspiring legacies of their own. It means so much to our team to continue Zac's legacy and vision for a better world.
The AA Medical team is proud of ALL members who participated in this special night. Between receiving donations, running the 5K, and supporting the Zac Plantz foundation, our AA family is extremely grateful for these efforts.
Zac left an incredible impact on the world, and the foundation will perpetuate his legacy forever. We thank all who have joined us in contributing to this great cause and helping to "put a little good into the world!"
