Orthopedic Ligature Passers (2)
Ligature passers are designed to carry and manipulate ligatures through tissue and cartilage and/or around bones. These passers are typically manual, handheld instruments including a rod with a straight or curved distal end and an appropriate configuration (e.g., U-shaped, loop) to hold the ligature. Bone ligature passers are used mainly to fix ligatures around bones during orthopedic procedures.
