In doing this story, it was a great experience talking to a person that has helped grow the business at AA Medical Store, placing them in a class of their own. Before sitting down with him, I had the preconceived notion that a career in accounting was a rather “dry” job to pursue. Numbers, numbers, and more numbers. Working a calculator for 8+ hours a day while consistently sending invoices to customers. I was very wrong.

With Mark Ryden, a member of the accounting/purchasing team at AA Medical Store, performance within the company has been revolutionary and the business has grown…and will continue to grow as AA Medical continues to distance themselves from the rest. Mark not only has the job of managing the numbers. He has the job of managing the overall performance of the company. He is a game changer! “To say that Mark has revolutionized the company’s performance as a whole, always giving us a leg up against others, would be an understatement,” stated Matthew Nelson, CEO. As a veteran of the company and with over 20 years in the field of accounting/purchasing, Mark is nothing less than an asset of the AA Medical team. Being a part of an ambitious team, all focused on the same goal/objective is a very powerful thing. Mark is a presence that elevates everyone’s game in their own parts of the company. “Everyone is about the common good here. It’s about the AA Medical family. That is what we are. It is why we succeed.”

Everything works together at AA Medical Store. The different departments go out of their way to help each other. They go out of their way to help the customers and provide top-notch customer service. It is a well-oiled machine.
